This onboarding course module was developed for 3D game artists at a game development company in Pittsburgh, PA, to help them learn and remember the naming convention that will be used within the team for their current project. The final deliverable was developed through a process that included a needs assessment and the creation of a design document (see attached link).
It was a course project at UGA, created in collaboration with a 3D game artist from a Pittsburgh-based game studio to ensure authenticity in the content and usability.
Main Design Focus:
- Emphasizing the importance of the course in the beginning (to increase motivation to participate in a mandated course).
- Various interactive activities.
- Controlled presentation of information to prevent skipping or confusion in navigation.
- Practice activities after each lesson to increase learning retention.
